2. Bookings and Payment
A booking deposit is required to secure a studio booking. The remaining balance must be paid no later than 48 hours before the booking start time. MGX Studios reserves the right to cancel bookings where payment is not received.
A £200 refundable damage deposit is required for half day bookings or longer and may be used to cover damage, cleaning costs, or breach of studio rules.
3. Cancellation Policy
Cancellations made more than 72 hours before the booking are eligible for a full refund. Cancellations made within 72 hours of the booking are non refundable. Rescheduling may be permitted at MGX Studios’ discretion.
4. Studio Use
A maximum of 15 people may be present on site at any time. Guests are permitted provided they do not interfere with production or studio operations. Events or workshops may only be permitted with prior written approval from MGX Studios.
5. Vehicles Inside the Studio
Vehicles may be brought inside the studio subject to the following conditions:
- Maximum vehicle size: Long Wheelbase Van
- Electric vehicles are not permitted inside the studio
- Vehicles must enter slowly and under control
- Burnouts, revving, drifting, or aggressive manoeuvres are prohibited
Clients are responsible for all damage caused by vehicles and must carry minimum £1,000,000 public liability insurance for automotive shoots.
6. Timekeeping and Overtime
Bookings must finish within the allocated time. A 15 minute grace period may be allowed at MGX Studios’ discretion. Where bookings exceed this grace period, overtime will be charged at the standard peak hourly rate.
7. Studio Condition and Clean Up
Clients must leave the studio in the same condition it was found. All equipment, props, tape, and rubbish must be removed at the end of the booking. Cleaning or damage may result in charges deducted from the deposit or billed separately.
8. Equipment Responsibility
MGX Studios operates as a dry hire facility. Clients are responsible for their own equipment and any loss, theft, or damage to equipment. MGX Studios accepts no liability for client equipment.
9. Prohibited Activities
The following activities are prohibited unless explicitly approved in advance:
- Fire, flames, or pyrotechnics
- Smoke machines or atmospheric effects
- Liquids, paint, powders, or substances that may damage the studio
- Dangerous stunts or hazardous activities
10. Noise and Nuisance
Clients must ensure their activities do not create excessive noise or disturbance to neighbouring businesses.
11. Alcohol
Alcohol is not permitted on the premises.
12. Insurance
Clients must carry appropriate insurance for their activities. For certain productions, including automotive shoots, minimum £1,000,000 public liability insurance is required.
13. Right to Terminate
MGX Studios reserves the right to terminate a booking immediately if studio rules are breached, safety is compromised, or illegal or dangerous activity occurs. No refund will be provided in such cases.
14. Liability
MGX Studios shall not be liable for loss or damage to client equipment, personal injury resulting from misuse of the studio, or indirect or consequential losses.
15. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MGX Studios Ltd, its directors, employees, and affiliates from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or legal costs arising from your use of the studio or breach of these Terms.
16. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
17. Entire Agreement
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between MGX Studios and the client regarding studio use and supersede any prior agreements or communications.
18. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
19. Changes to Terms
MGX Studios reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be published on the website.
